Job Description

The Trucking Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily trucking operations to ensure the efficient, safe, and timely delivery of goods. The role involves supervising drivers, monitoring fleet utilization, coordinating dispatch activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations, and addressing operational concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and monitor daily trucking and delivery operations.
  • Schedule and assign drivers, trucks, and routes efficiently.
  • Ensure on-time delivery and pickup of cargo.
  • Coordinate with clients, dispatchers, warehouse personnel, and management.
  • Monitor vehicle availability, utilization, and maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Investigate and resolve delivery delays, accidents, and operational issues.
  • Monitor fuel consumption and operational expenses.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
  • Evaluate driver performance and recommend disciplinary or corrective actions when necessary.
  • Ensure complete and accurate delivery documents and trip reports.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance fleet productivity and service quality.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in trucking, logistics, fleet management, or transportation operations.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of trucking operations, route planning, fleet management, and transportation regulations in the Philippines.
  • Familiarity with LTFRB, LTO, DOTr, and other applicable government regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience using GPS tracking systems and fleet management software is an advantage.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple operational concerns simultaneously.
  • Willing to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays when operationally required.
