Duties
- Process and monitor import and export documentation in compliance with customs laws and regulations.
- Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies to ensure smooth shipment clearance.
- Prepare, review, and submit required customs documents (e.g., commercial invoices, packing lists, bill of lading, permits).
- Monitor shipment status and ensure timely release and delivery of goods.
- Handle tariff classification, valuation, and duty computation.
- Address and resolve customs-related issues, discrepancies, or delays.
- Maintain updated records of shipments, permits, and compliance documents.
- Perform purchasing functions including sourcing suppliers, requesting quotations, negotiating prices, and processing purchase orders.
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding delivery schedules, pricing, and product specifications.
- Ensure cost efficiency while maintaining quality standards.
- Collaborate with finance and warehouse teams for proper documentation and inventory reconciliation.
- Stay updated on customs regulations and procurement best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Customs Administration, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- With at least 23 years of experience as a Customs Officer or in import/export processing.
- With proven experience in purchasing or buyer functions.
- Knowledgeable in Philippine customs regulations and documentation requirements.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) and documentation systems.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Willing to work in Chino Roces, Makati.
- Can start ASAP.
