Your Role And Responsibilities

As a Customer Success Engineer Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting client solutions and learning how technology enables customer success. You will work alongside experienced team members to understand how IBM products are used to drive client adoption, value realization, and business outcomes.

With Guidance And Mentorship, Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Support Solution Design: Assist in preparing and delivering technical proof points through demonstrations, proofs of technology (POTs), proofs of concept (POCs), workshops, solution designs, and minimum viable products (MVPs).
  • Learn Client Challenges: Participate in client engagements to understand their business challenges and gain exposure to modernization initiatives and the adoption of IBM's technology portfolio.
  • Assist in Success Planning: Support the team in developing success plans that outline deployment roadmaps, key milestones, and desired outcomes in collaboration with client stakeholders.
  • Observe and Support Client Interactions: Assist in identifying client sponsors, participating in use-case workshops, and learning how measurable business outcomes are defined and tracked.
  • Explore Client Solution Development: Learn how viable client solutions are designed by leveraging existing product capabilities to address client needs.

This internship is designed to provide practical exposure to customer success, solution design, and client engagement in a collaborative, real-world environment.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

  • Exposure to Technical Accelerators: Basic familiarity with supporting or observing technical proof points such as demonstrations, proofs of technology (POTs), proofs of concept (POCs), workshops, solution design activities, and minimum viable products (MVPs).
  • Understanding of Client Challenges: Interest in learning about client business challenges and curiosity about technology modernization and adoption initiatives.
  • Interest in Solution Design: Foundational understanding of how client solutions are designed using existing product capabilities, with a willingness to learn and apply best practices.
  • Exposure to Success Planning: Basic awareness of success planning concepts, including deployment roadmaps, key milestones, and desired outcomes.
  • Curiosity About Client Engagement: Willingness to learn about client interactions, including identifying stakeholders, participating in usecase workshops, and understanding how measurable business outcomes are defined.

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

  • Exposure to Cloud Platforms: Basic exposure to cloud-based technologies or platforms, with a willingness to learn how they are used in designing client solutions.
  • Awareness of IT Industry Trends: General interest in current IT industry trends and emerging technologies to help understand common client challenges.
  • Familiarity with Agile Practices: Basic awareness of agile ways of working or iterative development, and openness to learning how these are applied in solution design and planning.
