As a Customer Service Representative (Telecollectors), you will be responsible for contacting customers to collect outstanding debts and negotiating payment terms. You will maintain a professional demeanor and adhere to company policies and legal requirements to achieve successful collections while maintaining customer relationships.
Contact customers via phone to remind them of outstanding debts and facilitate payment arrangements.
Negotiate payment plans and settlement agreements within company guidelines.
Record and update customer information and interactions in the company database.
Handle customer inquiries and disputes regarding their accounts.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local collection laws and regulations.
Achieve monthly collection targets and contribute to the teams success.
College or High school diploma or equivalent; additional education is a plus.
Previous experience in collections, customer service, or a related field preferred.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to handle difficult conversations and remain calm under pressure.
Proficiency in using computer systems and databases.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
