Job Description

As a Benefit Customer Service Representative, you will support members with their healthcare and/or pension plan enrollments, updates, and inquiries while delivering a high level of customer service. You will primarily assist customers through phone, email, and webchat channels and will have the opportunity to be cross-trained across multiple client accounts as you grow in the role.

This is a seasonal role; however, we ask our high performers to remain with us to assist on other clients, and offer the top performers a full-time opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service through phone, email, and chat while building rapport and resolving inquiries efficiently.
  • Explain complex health, welfare, and pension plan information in a clear and easy-to-understand manner.
  • Handle confidential information in compliance with HIPAA, data privacy regulations, and company policies.
  • Accurately document customer interactions and maintain detailed case records.
  • Utilize internal systems, knowledge bases, and plan documents to address customer concerns and identify future needs.
  • Adhere to company and client procedures while consistently delivering accurate information.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and other assigned tasks.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of inbound customer service experience in a contact/service center environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and navigating multiple systems simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently in a structured environment.
  • Strong attendance record and commitment to punctuality.
  • Experience in a global or matrixed organization is an advantage.

The following are a plus;

  • Working knowledge of health and welfare and/or defined benefit pension plans
  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree
