A leading network access control provider is seeking a Customer Onboarding Engineer for a fully remote, night-shift role. You'll lead the technical delivery of new customer deployments, taking accounts from closed deal to successful go-live.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role for someone with strong networking skills who enjoys solving technical challenges and working closely with customers. The company offers a supportive, inclusive environment, ongoing training, knowledge sharing, and flexible remote work.
What you'll do:
- Execute end-to-end deployments including tenant setup, cloud RADIUS configuration, directory integration with platforms such as Entra ID, Okta, and on-premises Active Directory via LDAP Broker.
- Build groups and policies tailored to customer requirements while configuring certificates and SCEP for secure authentication processes.
- Configure network devices across major vendors including Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, Palo Alto, and UniFi to ensure optimal connectivity and security.
- Run device onboarding using various methods such as agent-based approaches, MDM/SCEP integrations, self-service portals, and MAC-based authentication for headless devices.
- Lead monitoring-mode burn-in phases and enforcement cutovers, facilitating phased migrations from incumbent NAC platforms like ISE or ClearPass.
- Validate go-live milestones against predefined success criteria established during the sales process and deliver comprehensive as-built documentation upon project transition.
- Keep project status current in Planhat and maintain accurate customer onboarding records for each account to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Identify stalled accounts early by flagging scope gaps or undocumented commitments to prevent delays and support timely resolutions.
- Contribute deployment knowledge back to the internal knowledge base to enhance communal learning and improve future onboarding processes.
What you bring:
- Deep understanding of networking fundamentals including 802.1X protocols, RADIUS authentication mechanisms, EAP-TLS standards, certificate management with PKI infrastructure, VLAN segmentation strategies, switching technologies, and wireless networking principles.
- Hands-on experience deploying or supporting Network Access Control (NAC) solutions such as Portnox, ISE, ClearPass or similar platforms within enterprise environments.
- Proficiency in directory services and identity management systems including Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), Active Directory integration techniques, and Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms like Intune or Jamf.
- Exceptional customer-facing communication skills enabling you to lead technical calls confidently while maintaining a consistent project cadence with stakeholders.
- Ability to self-manage across concurrent projects by keeping visible documented status updates that promote transparency within the team.
- Commitment to collaborative problem-solving by sharing deployment insights with colleagues through internal knowledge bases.
- Sensitivity towards customer needs demonstrated by empathetic interactions during onboarding sessions.
- Dependability in maintaining accurate records for each account throughout the deployment lifecycle.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training opportunities that enhance your technical skillset.
