Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answer inquiries about life insurance policies, premiums, and coverage.
  • Explain policy terms, exclusions, and benefits in clear language.
  • Assist with billing questions and payment processing.
  • Process policy changes (beneficiary updates, coverage adjustments, cancellations).
  • Maintain accurate customer records and documentation.
  • Handle initial intake of life insurance claims.
  • Gather essential details and forward to claims specialists.
  • Notify policyholders of claim outcomes or required follow-ups.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints.
  • Escalate complex issues to underwriting or claims departments.
  • Ensure timely and professional resolution to maintain trust.
  • Support customer retention by fostering long-term relationships.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduate of bachelor's degree in allied sciences, or business courses.
  • Prior customer service in a life insurance industry experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to explain complex life insurance concepts simply.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
  • Proficiency with databases and call management systems.
  • Calm and professional demeanor under pressure.
