Custom Software Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a Custom Software Engineer responsible for designing, developing, testing,

and maintaining customized software applications based on business and client requirements.

The role will work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, and other technical

teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain custom software applications based on business

requirements.

• Translate functional and technical requirements into efficient, scalable software solutions.

• Develop clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following software development

best practices.

• Perform unit testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and system optimization.

• Integrate applications with APIs, databases, and third-party systems.

• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Project Managers, QA Engineers, and other

developers throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development standards and

processes.

• Investigate and resolve software defects, performance issues, and production incidents.

• Maintain and enhance existing applications while developing new functionalities.

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including system specifications and

development documentation.

• Ensure applications meet security, performance, reliability, and usability requirements.

• Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing

systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software

Engineering, or a related field.

• 2–5 years of experience in software development or a similar role.

• Strong experience in at least one programming language such as:

o Java

o C#

o Python

o JavaScript/TypeScript

o PHP

• Experience with web application development and software development frameworks.

• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL

Server.

• Experience working with REST APIs and system integrations.• Familiarity with Git/version control systems.

• Understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and software development best practices.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing custom enterprise applications or client-specific solutions.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Experience with Docker, CI/CD, or DevOps practices.

• Familiarity with microservices and scalable application architecture.

• Experience working with third-party APIs and enterprise system integrations.

• Experience in both backend and frontend development is an advantage.
