Summary: As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves designing, coding, and improving various software components to meet unique business requirements. The role includes working closely with different teams to ensure the delivery of scalable and efficient software solutions. Daily activities also encompass problem-solving, collaborating on project goals, and adapting to evolving technologies and methodologies to enhance system performance and reliability. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform. - Responsible for team decisions. - Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions. - Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams. - Facilitate effective communication and coordination among team members to achieve project objectives. - Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process and technology enhancements. - Mentor and guide team members to foster professional growth and knowledge sharing. Professional & Technical Skills: - Required Skill: Expert proficiency in IBM Information Management System (IMS) Database. - Additional Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Cobol Mainframe, IBM Db2. - Strong knowledge of database management and optimization techniques related to IBM IMS. - Experience in designing and implementing robust data solutions within complex software environments. - Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues efficiently to maintain system stability. - Familiarity with integration of IMS databases with other enterprise systems and applications. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in IBM Information Management System (IMS) Database. - This position is based at our Manila office.
