We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Music Curator to join our Curation team. This role is essential in supporting the discovery and showcasing of artists and content across the platform. You'll work alongside the curators and existing team members to help surface
outstanding creators, highlight music trends, and manage ongoing curation tasks.
The ideal candidate is someone who lives and breathes music, has a strong scouting instinct, and is highly organized. You should have a good understanding of digital platforms and be excited about supporting music creators across genres and cultures.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the weekly and monthly curation of featured content across various areas of the platform
- Assist in curating user recommendations, trending posts, and editorial playlists
- Review applications for artist verification and assess eligibility based on internal criteria
- Curate and maintain content that highlights emerging creators and engaged communities
- Regularly track and document selections using internal tools and databases
- Collaborate with the Curation Lead and other team members to align on strategy and planning
- Stay updated with music trends, platform engagement, and user behaviors to inform curatorial choice
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 2+ years of experience in music curation, digital content, editorial, or related roles
- Professional or practical experience within the music industry (labels, A&R, media, platforms, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of emerging artists, genres, and global music trends
- Advanced digital literacy and comfort using curation and content management tools
- A wide-ranging and objective appreciation for all styles of music, with a sharp editorial instinct
- Experience using collaboration software such as Google Workspace, Airtable, or Notion
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and adapt to evolving platform priorities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills written, verbal, and visual
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritize effectively, identify risks, and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience working directly with music creators or being a creator yourself
- Familiarity with creator platforms and online music communities
- Experience analyzing content performance data and translating insights into strategy
- Demonstrated experience in playlist programming, editorial campaigns, or content creation within a music context
