The Credit Risk Policy Officer serves as the Bank's subject matter expert on Credit Policies and provides guidance on their interpretation and implementation. The position is responsible for reviewing, updating, maintaining, and coordinating credit policy proposals and amendments, as well as initiating policy enhancements to support sound credit risk management and regulatory compliance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, review, update, and maintain the Bank's Credit Risk Policies, Manuals, and Guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with the Bank's risk appetite and business objectives.
- Evaluate, coordinate, and implement policy amendments in response to regulatory changes, industry developments, and business needs.
- Provide policy guidance and technical support to business units and other stakeholders on the interpretation and implementation of credit policies.
- Coordinate with relevant units in the development of credit products, lending programs, and credit processes to ensure appropriate risk controls.
- Prepare policy proposals and presentation materials for review and approval by the appropriate approving authorities.
- Monitor regulatory issuances, audit findings, and internal control issues, and recommend policy enhancements to address identified gaps.
- Participate in credit-related projects, including process improvements, system enhancements, and risk rating initiatives, from a policy governance perspective.
- Maintain proper documentation, version control, and records of approved credit policies and related governance documents.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Credit Risk Policy Team Head or the Head of Credit Risk Management Division.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in any field, preferably business-related course.
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant banking experience in Credit Risk Management, Audit and Compliance, and/or Lending Operations
