The Credit Risk and Collection Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's credit and collections operations to ensure healthy cash flow, reduce financial risks, and maintain strong client relationships. The role involves leading a large team, managing delinquent accounts, developing strategies to improve collection efficiency, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain credit and collection policies and procedures
- Monitor accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of payments
- Manage delinquent accounts, determine appropriate recovery actions, and minimize financial losses
- Lead and supervise a large credit and collections team, including managers and advisors
- Coordinate with legal, compliance, and other internal teams for account resolution
- Track team performance and prepare reports for senior management
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of account records
- Maintain compliance with company policies, financial regulations, and legal standards
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and reduce defaults
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- 57 years of experience in credit and collections, with managerial experience
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Experience handling delinquent accounts and implementing collection strategies
- Knowledge of credit risk assessment and financial analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
