Job Description

Job Purpose

To independently conduct thorough and accurate credit risk analysis, reviews, and risk rating assignments for corporate and commercial clients domestically & across the Asia-Pacific region, ensuring compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and international risk standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Credit Risk Assessment: Perform independent credit analysis on corporate and commercial clients, including financial statement analysis, cash flow projection, and debt capacity evaluation.

2. Transaction Review: Thoroughly review credit applications, renewal proposals, and risk rating reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with credit policies.

3. Due Diligence: Conduct independent due diligence on client financials, collateral valuations, and business backgrounds to identify potential risks and discrepancies.

4. Report & Recommendation: Prepare professional credit reports and risk assessment memos; provide clear and defensible credit recommendations (Approval, Conditional Approval, or Rejection).

5. Cross Border Expertise: Handle cross-border credit cases involving [Specify: China/Indonesia/Southeast Asia] regulatory environments, foreign exchange regulations, and local market risks.

6. Policy Advocacy: Identify emerging risks and industry trends, and provide constructive feedback to optimize credit policies and procedures.

7. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all credit activities are in line with Basel Accords, local banking regulations, and the bank's internal risk appetite framework.

Job Requirements

1. Education: Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or Master's in Finance is a plus.

2. Experience:

- Minimum 8 years of working experience in credit risk management or corporate banking within a foreign commercial bank or top-tier financial institution.

- Proven experience in reviewing transactions or portfolios involving the region.

3. Professional Skills:

- Strong expertise in financial modeling, financial statement analysis, and cash flow analysis.

- In-depth understanding of banking regulations, Basel Accords, and credit risk management theories.

- Familiarity with trade finance, syndicated loans, and cross-border transactions is preferred.

4. Language & Abilities:

- Fluent in English (both written and spoken) as the primary work language. Mandarin Chinese speaking is preferred.

- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work under pressure.

- Meticulous attention to detail, high integrity, and good risk awareness.

5. Tools: Proficiency in Office Suite (Advanced Excel skills). Experience with Basel II/III compliance systems is a plus.
