Role Overview:
The Credit Review Officer (CRO) is responsible in supervising the independent loan reviews conducted. The CRO is also responsible in reviewing the reports of the Credit Review Analyst and providing necessary assistance to the Credit Risk Management Department Head to carry out the overall objective of the Unit.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists the Credit Risk Management Department Head in the preparation of Credit Review Annual Plan and in the monitoring of its implementation
- Reviews credit review procedures, and identifies, defines and analyzes issues to suggest improvements in the current additional procedures
- Reviews the Credit Review Engagement Plan activities of the Credit Review Analyst
- Attends to exit conference and participates in during the discussion of the issues, recommendations and expected corrective action plans
- Reviews the Credit Review Report and Credit Review Rating and checks the documentation/ working papers of the concluded credit review activity
- Communicates the final report as approved by the RMD Head to the unit under review, to the Credit Committee and to the Risk Oversight Committee (ROC)
- Monitors if the corrective action plans are effectively implemented
- Performs such other functions as may be required by the Credit Risk Management Department Head from time to time
Qualifications:
- Graduate of BS Accountancy, Financial Management, or any Business-related course
- At least 5 years experience in credit or account review gained from banking or financial industry or its equivalent
- Proficient in loan portfolio review, credit evaluation or analysis and/or financial analysis
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft office applications
- Good Analytical and technical skills
- Good Interpersonal and Leadership skills
- Willing to travel
