The Credit Review Officer is responsible for the preparation, evaluation, and assessment of loan proposals and borrower profiles, ensuring that all credit accommodations are aligned with the bank's credit risk framework and internal policies. The role involves conducting thorough financial and credit analysis, validating information provided by lending units, and ensuring proper documentation and risk mitigation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will:
- Prepare and evaluate Evaluation and Recommendation for Credit Accommodation (ERCA) for credit line renewals and other credit facilities of IBS accounts in compliance with internal policies and agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA).
- Conduct credit assessment and financial analysis of borrowers, including preparation of financial spreadsheets and evaluation of financial statements for new and existing clients.
- Validate and review data and supporting documents submitted by lending units as part of the credit review process to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Assess collateral coverage, documentation deviations, and possible risk mitigations related to loan proposals.
- Identify and evaluate policy and regulatory deviations, ensuring that all risks are properly documented and supported with appropriate recommendations.
- Determine and maintain accurate credit risk ratings and classifications for assigned accounts.
- Coordinate closely with Institutional Banking Segment (IBS) counterparts and lending officers to ensure timely submission of documents and effective portfolio management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Financial Management, or Economics.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in credit evaluation, preferably handling commercial or corporate loans.
- Strong background in credit risk analysis and financial statement evaluation.
- Experience as a Commercial/Corporate Credit Analyst, Credit Officer, or Relationship Manager handling loans is highly preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with experience in top accounting firms is an advantage.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with a proactive approach to problem solving.
