Credit Officer - Merchant Acquiring

Job Summary:

The Credit Officer for Merchant Acquiring is primarily responsible for evaluating and assessing merchant applications for payment acceptance facilities. The role involves conducting credit and risk assessments, performing KYC and due diligence reviews, validating business documents, and recommending approval or disapproval of merchant onboarding requests. The position supports the end-to-end onboarding and monitoring of merchants while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Educational Background

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Banking, Management, or other related business courses.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong credit analysis and risk assessment skills.
• Knowledge of KYC, AML, sanctions screening, and customer due diligence requirements.
• Ability to analyze financial statements and business performance.
• Excellent attention to detail and documentation review skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to make sound credit and risk recommendations.
