Job Description

JOB OBJECTIVE:

To conduct prudent credit evaluation and credit decision for loan applications received and solicited by Corporate and Retail Lending Group (CRLG) counterparts, regular Bank and Microfinance Branches. To ensure complete and accurate data encoded in the Bank&aposs system prior to credit decision, and in accordance with established the credit policies and procedures.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Screens the completeness and accurateness of the required supporting documents as necessary in the credit evaluation

* Requests for additional credit investigations, as needed.

* Evaluates credit worthiness of loan applicants using available data, such as checking dedupped results in the Bank&aposs system, verifying information and supporting documents based on the Bank&aposs approved Risk Asset Acceptance Criteria (RAAC).

* Validates the authenticity of credit-related facts, supporting documents and/or credit investigation (CI) reports whenever necessary. Conducts further verification from third parties and/or through using other resources such as checking information available in the internet, calling loan borrower and/or his/her employer, etc., as required by the Department or Division Head

* Prepares the Credit Recommendation Sheet (CRS), Financial Package (FP), Credit Score Sheets (CCS) and the loan borrowers&apos cash flow in adherence to the Bank&aposs quality standard. Ensures that the deviations are completely disclosed vis-a-vis justification and/or mitigants.

* Reviews financial packages and loan borrowers&apos cash flow prepared by Account Officers and/or Admins under CRLG and other branch referrers.

* Renders credit decision within delegated credit authority limit. Elevates credit approval recommendations to the next higher level if beyond the credit authority limit.

* Checks the accuracy and completeness of data encoded by Credit Underwriters in the Bank&aposs system.

* Updates the system for details found to be inconsistent or incorrectly encoded.

* Ensures that the turn around time (TAT) of loan application processing is met.

* Immediately attends to the queries and status follow ups of CRLG and other bank referrers.

* Prepares and submits regular and ad hoc reports required by the Department/Division Head in an accurate and timely manner.

* Assists other Sections of the Department in the evaluation of assigned credit loan applications

* Prepares the weekly/monthly accomplishment/productivity report. Submits to Department Head for review.

* Acts as the Point of Contact (POC) for the Department in the absence of Section Head and Department Head.

* Proposes, suggests and implements process and/or policy improvements.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Adheres to the provisions of the bank&aposs Code of Conduct and Discipline.

* Ensures that high quality work and efficiency in Department operations are maintained at all times.

* Reports any fraudulent, suspicious acts or unlawful activities / transactions immediately to the immediate head to preempt potential risks to the bank.

* Attends training and seminars deemed necessary such as BMI&aposs, CORE-PRO, Vision Casting & Culture Building, Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA) Training and others related to the position

* Maintains cleanliness and orderliness in the work station.

* Ensures proper upkeep/maintenance of assigned equipment.

* Uses Unit resources, i.e., utilities, supplies, judiciously.

* Performs other functions that may be assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

* Graduate of any four (4) year course.

* With at least three (3) years of experience in jobs related to lending, credit evaluation and/or loan documentation gained from banks or other financial institutions.

* Must be detail oriented, organized and a team player.

* Can work under pressure and with minimal supervision.

* Risk and result-oriented
