Credit Officer (Cards Issuing)

Job Summary

The Credit Officer is responsible for evaluating credit card and personal loan applications to minimize credit risk and support profitability. Applies underwriting principles, ensures compliance with credit policies, and contributes to team productivity targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducts credit evaluation including pre-screening, duplicate checking, scoring, and credit investigation
• Verifies applicant data through call-outs and investigations
• Makes credit decisions based on risk assessment and policy guidelines
• Reviews and ensures consistency and quality in application processing
• Prepares daily and monthly productivity and MIS reports

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree relevant to the job
• At least 2 years of experience in retail credit review (covering the area of application processing and evaluation) gained from bank or other financial institutions
• Willing to work onsite in Ortigas
