The Credit Officer is responsible for facilitating the accreditation, renewal, and maintenance of credit lines for counterparties, including security issuers, brokers, banks, and other financial institutions. The role involves conducting comprehensive credit evaluations, ensuring compliance with established credit policies, and supporting the accreditation of fixed income investment outlets. The position also ensures that all credit-related approvals, documentation, and monitoring processes are executed accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Credit Evaluation & Proposals: Prepare and review credit proposals for accreditation, renewal, and updating of credit lines and investment outlets; ensure accuracy and completeness of financial, risk, and transaction details, and support presentation to approval authorities.
- Monitoring & Risk Assessment: Conduct periodic credit reviews, including financial, risk, and ESG analysis; provide recommendations, maintain internal credit risk ratings, and ensure participation in primary issuances aligns with approved credit limits.
- Stakeholder Support & Compliance: Support Investment Management and Relationship Management teams by providing relevant credit and market information; ensure all processes adhere to internal credit policies, procedures, and documentation standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience & Skills: Preferably with experience in financial statement analysis and creditworthiness evaluation, with strong analytical and risk assessment capabilities.
- Technical & Communication: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
