About the role

Bravissimo Resourcing, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Credit Investigator/Collector to join our dynamic team in Caloocan City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our credit management operations. As a Credit Investigator/Collector, you will be responsible for investigating credit applications, assessing creditworthiness, and managing the collection of outstanding debts. This position is essential to maintaining the financial health of our organization and ensuring responsible lending practices within the banking and financial services sector.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough investigations of credit applications by reviewing financial documents, employment records, and credit histories
• Verify applicant information through background checks, reference calls, and site visits where necessary
• Assess creditworthiness and prepare detailed credit reports with recommendations for approval or rejection
• Contact delinquent clients to remind them of payment obligations and discuss outstanding balances
• Negotiate payment arrangements and settlement plans with clients who are unable to meet their full payment obligations
• Document all collection activities, communications, and outcomes in the appropriate systems
• Follow up on overdue accounts and escalate cases when necessary according to company policies
• Maintain accurate records of credit investigations and collections activities
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding credit investigation and debt collection practices
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve credit disputes and discrepancies

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Credit Investigator, Collector, or similar role within the banking and financial services industry
• Strong knowledge of credit assessment principles, lending practices, and credit risk evaluation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues
• Proficiency in credit management software and systems, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities to manage multiple cases simultaneously
• Sound judgment and decision-making skills to assess creditworthiness and determine appropriate actions
• Ability to work independently whilst maintaining accountability and meeting performance targets
• Knowledge of relevant credit and collection regulations and compliance requirements
• Patience and diplomacy when handling difficult client situations
• High school diploma or equivalent; tertiary education in finance, business, or related fields is preferred
