Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Credit Controller to manage the credit and collections process. This role is responsible for ensuring timely payments, minimizing bad debts, and maintaining positive relationships with clients.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid background in credit control or accounts receivable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage outstanding customer debts; follow up on overdue invoices.
  • Perform credit checks on new and existing customers.
  • Assess creditworthiness and establish credit limits in line with company policy.
  • Issue accurate and timely statements, reminders, and collection letters.
  • Liaise with clients to resolve billing and payment issues professionally and promptly.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and accurately allocate payments.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address account-related concerns.
  • Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status and credit risk exposure.
  • Recommend accounts for legal action or write-off when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and external regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Solid understanding of credit management principles and collection techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with IT service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk, Jira).
  • Familiarity with Active Directory and remote support tools.
  • ITIL Foundation certification or knowledge of ITIL processes.
  • Experience supporting users in hybrid or remote work environments.
