Evlv is currently working with a Toronto-based manufacturing company with a global presence that has an immediate opening for an Accounts Receivable Manager role.
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Credit & Collections Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing full-cycle AR operations within a B2B environment, including collections and trade spend management. This role will be responsible for overseeing AR processes, managing retailer relationships, leading a team, and ensuring timely collections while maintaining strong customer partnerships.
The successful candidate should possess strong leadership skills, excellent analytical abilities, and proven experience working with large retail accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full-cycle Credit & Collections, including collections, deductions, dispute resolution, and trade spend management
- Manage relationships and AR activities with major retailers such as Amazon, Walmart, Target, Apple, and other large accounts
- Lead, coach, and support the AR team by providing direction, guidance, and performance management
- Set short-term goals and targets for the team and track progress against KPIs and collection objectives
- Monitor aging reports, outstanding balances, deductions, and cash flow performance
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Service, Trade Spend, and Finance teams to resolve disputes and improve processes
- Ensure timely follow-up and resolution of customer claims, deductions, and payment discrepancies
- Identify opportunities to improve AR processes, reporting, and operational efficiencies
- Support month-end close activities, reporting requirements, and audit requests
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience managing Collections teams within a B2B environment
- Proven experience managing AR processes for major retailers such as Amazon, Walmart, Target, Apple, or similar large accounts
- Strong experience in full-cycle AR, including collections and trade spend management
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing teams
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-volume environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
- Experience with SAP is a MUST
Preferred Background
- Experience in consumer goods, retail, manufacturing, apparel, or distribution industries is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of retailer deductions, chargebacks, and dispute management
