Credit Card / Portfolio Analyst

Role Summary

This is a handson, clientembedded role supporting an issuer's consumer credit/debit card portfolio. The resource will work with the issuer's cards team to track portfolio performance, measure initiatives, identify improvement opportunities, plan cards growth strategies -market segmentation, CVP improvements and support implementation of card launches and campaigns.

The role is executionfocused and analytical, acting as an extension of the issuer's card business team.

Initiative Tracking & Impact Measurement

• Support delivery and tracking of Mastercard initiatives, particularly card launches, portfolio campaigns, and lifecycle initiatives (e.g., acquisition, usage, retention).
• Define and monitor success metrics for initiatives in collaboration with issuer stakeholders.
• Measure postlaunch performance, highlight gaps versus targets, and recommend practical optimization actions.
• Drive quarterly cards performance reviews for the issuer's portfolio and provide insights on how they can perform at par and/or better than the market. Collaborate with teams to present insights and craft supporting narratives.

Required Skills & Experience

• More than 8 years of experience in consumer credit/debit cards, retail banking, or payments, with exposure to Product and Portfolio performance management or analytics
• Strong understanding of Consumer Credit/Debit card performance drivers and portfolio economics
• Experience with working with Credit/Debit cards PnL, producing performance reports, dashboards, and business reviews for senior stakeholders
• A practical, execution-focused professional who adapts easily to client settings and collaborates effectively with individuals at all levels of seniority.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to translate data into clear insights
• Proven ability to work crossfunctionally and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
