Job Description

Overview

The Senior Credit Associate is responsible for evaluating, validating and post-auditing applications to ensure compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in credit assessment, document verification, and fraud detection. This position plays a key role in minimizing financial risk and ensuring the integrity of our credit processes.

Functions and Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough validation of customer-submitted documents through outbound calls and system checks.
  • Perform post-review audits of approved applications to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Identify and flag potentially fraudulent applications based on document inconsistencies or red flags.
  • Escalate suspicious accounts to the Fraud Management Team for further investigation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all credit validation activities.
  • Generate and submit regular reports on validation outcomes and trends.

Employment Standards

  • Work Hours: Standard office hours with occasional weekday or weekend overtime, especially during month-end or high-volume periods.
  • Work Environment: Primarily office-based with potential for remote work, subject to management approval.
  • Ethical Standards: Must uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
  • Strict adherence to the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and internal confidentiality protocols is required.

Job Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in credit validation, preferably in telecom, utilities or financing companies.
  • Communication Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and conflict resolution skills. Fluent in English and Filipino.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root causes of issues and recommend effective solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with CRM or credit management systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet KPIs.
