We are searching for a driven and detail-focused
Credit Analyst to join a growing team, an established Australian financial services firm. In this role, you will be a key part in supporting clients and making sound lending decisions.
Your primary responsibility will be to assess the creditworthiness of individuals and businesses, ensuring that all lending decisions are accurate, well-supported, and compliant with Australian lending guidelines. You will liaise with clients, lenders, and internal stakeholders to facilitate smooth processing from application through to approval.
You will assess client scenarios, identify risk factors, and help structure applications strategically to maximise approval outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess credit applications for individuals and businesses, including reviewing financial statements and supporting documents
- Prepare clear and well-structured credit reports and recommendations for approval
- Collect and verify required documentation from clients and third parties
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date credit files in line with company policy and Australian regulations
- Communicate with lenders and internal teams to monitor application status and follow up on outstanding items
- Respond to client and stakeholder inquiries and provide timely updates on application progress
- Monitor existing loan facilities and flag any early signs of financial risk
- Maintain compliance with industry regulations and company policies
- Support the team with tasks related to credit processing and portfolio management as required
- Assess client scenarios to identify the most suitable lending options based on policy, serviceability, and loan structure
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience in a loan processing or mortgage broker support role
- Knows how to read and make sense of financial reports
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- Understanding of Australian mortgage processes and lender requirements is desirable
