Job Description

Job Overview

Responsible for assessing the creditworthiness and financial performance of Corporate Banking clients, preparing credit papers, and supporting the Bank's credit decision-making and risk management processes.

Responsibilities:

1. Credit Analysis

  • Analyze financial statements, business performance, repayment capacity, and creditworthiness.

  • Identify key credit risks, trends, and mitigating factors.

  • Conduct financial modelling, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.

2. Credit Reports

  • Prepare clear and well-supported credit reports and credit papers.

  • Support credit applications, renewals, annual reviews, and approval processes.

  • Ensure submissions meet internal credit policies and documentation standards.

3. Stakeholder Coordination

  • Work closely with Relationship Managers, Credit Reviewers, and Credit Risk teams.

  • Review financial forecasts, borrower information, and business updates.

  • Communicate credit findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.

4. Industry & Portfolio Analysis

  • Conduct sector and market research to assess industry trends and risks.

  • Monitor borrower performance, financial covenants, and emerging credit risks.

  • Support periodic credit reviews and ad-hoc assessments.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Banking, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 6 years of relevant credit analysis experience in banking, corporate/commercial banking, credit risk, or audit.

  • Prior credit writing experience, preferably within Corporate Banking.

  • Strong knowledge of financial analysis, financial modelling, accounting, and credit risk assessment.

  • Good understanding of corporate lending, credit approval, and risk management.

  • Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proficient in spoken and written Chinese, with the ability to communicate effectively with Chinese-speaking Head Office counterparts.
