Job Overview

The Credit & Collection Assistant supports the finance team by managing customer credit accounts, monitoring outstanding balances, and ensuring the timely collection of payments to maintain healthy cash flow within the automotive business.

Minimum Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • 13 years of experience in credit control or collections (automotive industry preferred).
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and AR processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor customer accounts and track outstanding invoices.
  • Follow up on overdue payments via calls, emails, and official reminders.
  • Assist in credit assessment and customer credit limit reviews.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Prepare aging reports and collection status updates.
  • Coordinate with sales and service departments regarding customer accounts.
  • Maintain accurate records of all collection activities.
