About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and experienced Credentialing Specialist to join our remote team. This is a long-term role requiring 32 hours per week of support, primarily focused on credentialing-related tasks. During slower periods, you will also support our team with general administrative responsibilities.

Primary Responsibilities (Credentialing)

  • Manage credentialing and re-credentialing processes for healthcare providers - Submit applications to insurance panels and licensing boards
  • Maintain provider records in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards
  • Track credentialing deadlines and follow up on outstanding items
  • Communicate with insurance companies, clients, and boards as needed
  • Update internal tracking systems and ensure all documentation is current and accurate
  • Secondary Responsibilities (Admin Support: 1015 hrs/week)
  • Respond to emails and assist with scheduling
  • Organize digital files and assist with form submissions
  • Support special projects and quality-check internal records
  • Assist with light reporting or document preparation as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year experience in credentialing only. Administrative roles (preferably in healthcare or insurance) can vary but preferred 2 years of experience
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Excellent English (verbal and written) professional tone required
  • Comfortable using tools like Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets), Dropbox, email platforms
  • Highly dependable, consistent with attendance, and organized in time tracking
  • Quiet home workspace, stable internet connection, ability to respond during scheduled hours
  • MUST HAVE direct experience as an Insurance Credentialing Specialist and that candidate is able to handle the end-to-end credentialing process independently, without the support of a team. This is an job for an Intermediate Credentialing Specialist not a beginner.
  • We do not provide training for this role, only an online credentialing platform, and onboarding support. If needs to be trained at all in this role will not be the right fit and do not apply.
