Remote Lifting Engineer / Crane Planning Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Remote Lifting Engineer to support crane operations through detailed planning, engineering analysis, and lift design. This role focuses on preparing lift studies, crane positioning drawings, and safe lifting strategies based on project information provided by the operations team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed lift studies and engineering calculations remotely
  • Prepare high-level AutoCAD drawings showing crane positioning, lift radius, load path, and site layout
  • Analyze load weights, lifting heights, radii, and crane capacities
  • Develop lift plans, method statements, and risk assessments
  • Propose safe and efficient lifting strategies based on project requirements
  • Select appropriate crane types and configurations
  • Review and apply proper rigging methods and equipment selection
  • Coordinate with site teams to support crane setup and lifting execution
  • Ensure all plans comply with safety standards and lifting regulations
  • Interpret project details provided and translate them into practical lifting solutions

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or related Engineering field
  • Proven experience in the crane / heavy lifting industry
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D)
  • Solid understanding of crane load charts, lifting calculations, and rigging
  • Experience preparing lift plans and crane studies
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Strong communication skills for coordination with site and project teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with mobile, crawler, or tower cranes
  • Familiarity with international lifting standards (LOLER, ASME, ISO)
  • Previous experience supporting remote engineering or offshore teams
