About The Role
As a senior finance professional, you will serve as the CPA Budget Officer / Finance Controller / Chief Accountant, responsible for end-to-end financial management, budgeting, reporting, internal controls, and compliance. This role requires a detail-oriented, ethical, and commercially minded accountant who can translate financial data into actionable insights and ensure accurate, timely financial operations.
What You'll Be Doing- Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policy
- Manage statutory reporting, tax filings, and coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely completion of audits
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, corporate governance, and internal accounting policies
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic reforecasts, partnering with business leaders to translate strategy into financial plans
- Develop and maintain rolling forecasts, scenario analyses, and sensitivity models to support decision-making
- Monitor budget vs. actual performance and provide variance analysis with clear recommendations
- Financial Controls & Process Improvement
- Design, document, and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial records
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, implement automation, and improve efficiency
- Oversee month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and journal entries to ensure timeliness and accuracy
- Cash & Treasury Management
- Manage cash flow forecasting, working capital requirements, and bank relationships
- Supervise payment runs, collections, and treasury activities to optimize liquidity
- Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and mentor accounting staff, fostering development, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, HR, and commercial functions to support business initiatives
- Present financial insights to senior management and support strategic planning
- Systems & Reporting Tools
- Maintain and improve financial systems, ERP integrations, and reporting tools to ensure data integrity
- Own development of management dashboards, KPI reporting, and ad-hoc financial analyses
What We're Looking For
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification or equivalent professional accounting designation
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting and financial management experience, including budgeting and financial control responsibilities
- Proven experience preparing financial statements, managing audits, and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Strong technical skills with ERP/accounting systems (experience with mid-market ERPs preferred) and advanced Excel capabilities
- Analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize complex financial information into clear recommendations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership
- High integrity, attention to detail, and a commitment to process improvement and operational excellence
Preferred
- Experience in fast-growing or multinational companies
- Exposure to financial planning & analysis (FP&A), treasury, or tax specializations
- Familiarity with financial modeling, Power BI/Tableau, or other reporting visualization tools
- Experience leading system implementations or accounting automation projects
