Job Description

Company Description Greenpeace Southeast Asia is a regional environmental organization with offices in Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Malaysia, supported by thousands of volunteers and supporters. The organization focuses on sustainable, green solutions to urgent local challenges, including the climate emergency, clean air and healthy food systems, and the protection of forests, oceans, and affected communities. Greenpeace uses non-violent, creative action to challenge systems and practices that harm the environment and to promote a greener, more peaceful world. Its work is independently funded through donations from individuals and private foundations that share its values, ensuring campaigns remain free from corporate or political influence. Greenpeace Southeast Asia is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity, respect, and non-discrimination, and welcomes applicants who share its vision for positive environmental change.

Role Description The Country Representative for Greenpeace Southeast Asia in the Philippines is a full-time, on-site role responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight of country-level programs and operations. This position leads the development and implementation of national campaign plans, ensuring alignment with regional priorities and organizational values. Day-to-day tasks include managing country office staff, coordinating with regional teams, overseeing budgets and resources, and maintaining high standards of governance and compliance. The Country Representative builds and maintains relationships with local communities, partners, media, and key stakeholders, and represents Greenpeace in public forums, advocacy spaces, and meetings with decision-makers. The role also involves monitoring political, social, and environmental developments, identifying opportunities for impact, and ensuring that campaigns and activities are safe, inclusive, and effective.
