Job Scope
The Country Manager, Philippines (CMP), based in our Cebu City office, leads a small but ambitious and growing team dedicated to delivering high-quality services in line with Khiri's purpose of Tourism for Positive Impact and our brand promise of authentic discovery. The CMP is a key member of the regional leadership team and collaborates closely with Khiri Core on centralized services including Systems, Business Operations, Product Categorization, Marketing, and Sustainability. While this role does not carry full financial or P&L responsibility, the CMP is expected to demonstrate strong operational and commercial leadership. As the team and office grow, this position may evolve into a General Manager role with full financial accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient workflow, adherence to company standards, and exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with department heads and Khiri Core to optimize performance.
- Business Development: Proactively follow up on leads provided by the Partnership Development Team and other sources. Celebrate new agent wins and contribute to long-term partner success.
- Team Management: With support from Khiri Core, recruit, develop, and inspire a high-performing team. Foster a positive, empowering, and collaborative work environment.
- Supplier Contracting: In close coordination with the Office Manager, negotiate favorable terms with key suppliers, monitor performance, and ensure usage of Khiri's IT platforms for tracking and analysis.
- Sales & Account Management: Lead the Sales Team in delivering fast, value-added responses. Build strong relationships with tour operator partners to consistently exceed expectations.
- Product Supervision: Oversee and support product development to ensure innovative, marketable offerings that reflect Khiri's brand and sustainability values.
- Sustainability Leadership: Guide local sustainability initiatives in collaboration with the Green Team.
- Promote Khiri's environmental and social commitmentslead by example.
- Brand Ambassador: Represent the Khiri Travel brand internally and externally with professionalism, enthusiasm, and integrity.
- Future Growth Orientation: Take ownership of operational leadership with an eye toward expanding into full General Manager responsibilities, including financial oversight, as the office scales.
What we look for:
- At least 3 years of experience in the travel industry, preferably in DMC sales, account management, or product promotion
- A natural, enthusiastic communicator and networkerconfident, engaging, and persuasive
- A proven track record in building, managing, and empowering successful teams
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a strong work ethic and proactive mindset
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and thrives when taking initiative and ownership
- Passionate about travel and committed to fostering a positive, supportive team culture
- Willing and able to travel frequently across the Philippines and occasionally overseas
- Fluent in English; additional language skills are an advantage
- Demonstrates leadership potential with a growth mindsetready to evolve into a General Manager role with full P&L responsibility over time
