Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned leader to drive and execute the eCommerce strategy within the assigned market. As the Country Lead, you will oversee a high-performing team and collaborate with local and regional stakeholders to accelerate business growth. This role requires expertise in the CPG and retail sectors, a strong grasp of the evolving eCommerce landscape, and a proven ability to deliver growth through strategic innovation and operational excellence.
You will bring an entrepreneurial mindset to manage the full eCommerce value chain — from customer acquisition and brand management to operations — across marketplaces, direct-to-consumer (D2C), and emerging business models.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute country-level strategies aligned with regional objectives.
- Lead strategic and operational planning across CPG & Retail verticals.
- Ensure delivery of business targets, market differentiation, and sustainable profitability.
- Collaborate with regional leadership to align priorities and share best practices.
Resource Management
- Optimize resource allocation to maximize productivity and ROI.
- Build team capabilities through structured training and development.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and operational excellence.
- Balance short-term execution with long-term strategic growth.
Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including executives, brand partners, platforms, and vendors.
- Act as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders.
- Lead high-level discussions and negotiations to drive mutual value creation.
Innovative Leadership
- Champion innovation and entrepreneurship to differentiate offerings in the market.
- Encourage experimentation, agility, and proactive problem-solving.
- Stay ahead of industry trends across marketplaces, D2C, social commerce, and affiliate marketing.
- Identify and capitalize on emerging opportunities for competitive advantage.
Brand Health & Performance Optimization
- Monitor and optimize brand health metrics (visibility, engagement, conversion).
- Deliver business reviews with actionable insights and growth recommendations.
- Track KPIs across marketing, operations, and commercial performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance profitability and brand equity.
Business Development & Account Management
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market presence.
- Drive upselling and cross-selling initiatives.
- Oversee account management processes, including financial alignment, reporting, and compliance.
- Build long-term partnerships to position the organization as a strategic growth partner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
Experience
- Minimum 12 years of experience in the CPG sector with a strong focus on eCommerce, retail, and brand management.
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams in dynamic environments.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic business plans.
