Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  1. Conduct market research on solar/ energy storage products across cities, towns and remote power-shortage areas in the three major island groups of the Philippines. Collect information on users energy demands, power grid conditions, customer preferences and consumption habits, while taking regional differences into account.
  2. Explore potential key clients including local wholesalers, agents, industrial & commercial enterprises and government institutions through street visits and store inspections in line with local channel characteristics and establish cooperation intentions.
  3. Attend major local exhibitions for photovoltaic and energy storage industries to connect with end customers and industry practitioners, expand professional networks, and gather market and competitor information.
  4. Develop and maintain relationships with potential local channel clients, who will serve as core partners for market research, product testing and initial sales to lay a solid foundation for business expansion.
  5. Cooperate with legally compliant local enterprises, verify their qualifications, and assist them in handling import permits, enjoying RCEP tariff preferences and other relevant procedures to remove barriers to cooperation.
  6. Set up a localized sales and service team in accordance with corporate strategies and build a multilevel distribution network to adapt to the fragmented features of the local market.
  7. Streamline local trade procedures, resolve core issues concerning tariffs and customs clearance, optimize delivery processes, and drive market launch and sales growth.
  8. Keep track of updates on local green energy policies, liaise with government authorities to seek policy support, and tap into tendering project opportunities.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree or above. Majors in Marketing, New Energy or related fields are preferred. Candidates with study experience in the Philippines and proficiency in local languages and culture will be given priority.
  2. Over 3 years of B2B foreign trade sales experience. Prior experience in developing the Southeast Asian market (especially the Philippines) for photovoltaic products and proven track records of new market launch are preferred.
  3. Able to travel frequently to grassroots markets across the Philippines, adapt to local climate and transportation conditions, and demonstrate strong adaptability, stress resistance and independent problem-solving capabilities.
  4. Fluent in English (listening, speaking, reading and writing) for smooth communication with local partners. Possess a keen business acumen and excellent customer relationship management skills.
  5. Familiarity with Philippine import policies, laws and regulations for photovoltaic products, as well as the operation of major local industry exhibitions is preferred.
