Job Summary:
The Counter Manager is responsible for the effective and efficient management of an assigned sales counter. This includes overseeing daily operations, driving sales performance, ensuring a high standard of customer service, maintaining visual merchandising standards, and managing a team of sales associates. The goal is to meet or exceed sales and profitability targets while creating a positive and engaging shopping experience for customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Performance:
- Achieve and exceed individual and counter sales targets.
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance and take proactive steps to maximize revenue.
- Implement promotions and sales initiatives in line with brand strategy.
Team Management:
- Supervise, train, and motivate sales staff to deliver exceptional customer service and meet performance goals.
- Conduct regular coaching, feedback sessions, and performance appraisals.
- Develop team scheduling to ensure optimal coverage and efficiency.
Customer Service:
- Ensure outstanding customer service is consistently delivered by all team members.
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and promptly.
- Build strong customer relationships and loyalty through personalized service.
Operations:
- Maintain stock levels, manage inventory, and coordinate with stockroom and replenishment teams.
- Ensure all operational procedures are followed, including cash handling, stock control, and health and safety protocols.
- Submit sales reports and counter performance data as required.
Visual Merchandising:
- Maintain a visually appealing counter that aligns with brand standards and seasonal guidelines.
- Ensure all displays are clean, organized, and effectively showcase product offerings.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a retail sales or supervisory role, preferably within cosmetics, fashion, or luxury goods.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Sales-driven mindset with a customer-first attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail reporting.
- College graduate or equivalent
