Role Description The Costing Head is a full-time, on-site role based in Valenzuela, responsible for overseeing all costing and pricing activities for panel boards and switchgear projects. This role includes preparing detailed cost estimates, maintaining and updating cost databases for materials and labor, and coordinating with engineering, production, and procurement teams to validate cost assumptions. The Costing Head monitors project budgets, analyzes variances between estimated and actual costs, and recommends adjustments to improve profitability and efficiency. Daily responsibilities also include reviewing supplier quotations, supporting contract and bid preparation, generating costing reports for management, and implementing standardized costing procedures and controls. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, timely, and competitive cost proposals aligned with business objectives.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in cost estimation, budgeting, and cost control within a manufacturing or electrical fabrication environment.
- Proficiency in using spreadsheets and costing software for data analysis, modeling, and reporting.
- Solid understanding of panel boards, switchgear components, and related materials, including typical bill of materials and production processes.
- Experience collaborating with engineering, production, and procurement teams to gather technical and commercial inputs for costing.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements and translate them into accurate cost breakdowns.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills for presenting costing rationale, supporting negotiations, and preparing clear documentation.
- Demonstrated organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple quotations and projects simultaneously.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a costing, pricing, or finance role in manufacturing, electrical, or construction industries is highly beneficial.
