Cost Estimation and Design Engineer

Role Description The Cost Estimation and Design Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Parañaque, responsible for supporting HVAC/R projects from concept to execution. This role involves preparing detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and budget proposals based on project specifications, drawings, and site conditions. The engineer develops and reviews HVAC/R system designs, layouts, and schematics, using CAD tools and engineering principles to ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance with relevant codes and standards. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with project managers, suppliers, and contractors, conducting site visits and technical evaluations, and updating designs and estimates as project requirements evolve. The role also includes preparing technical documentation, supporting bid and tender processes, and contributing to continuous improvement in design standards and cost-control practices.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering relevant to HVAC/R systems.
• Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for 2D and 3D modeling.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or other relevant Engineering discipline.
• Experience in HVAC/R design, cost estimation, and construction or building services environment.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and clients on-site.
• Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and energy efficiency guidelines is an advantage.
