Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and monitor project budgets and cost control systems.
  • Track actual project costs against approved budgets and identify cost variances.
  • Prepare periodic cost reports and present project cost performance updates to management.
  • Prepare project cost forecasts, cash flow reports, and projected final cost estimates.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Procurement Personnel, and Contractors to obtain cost and progress information.
  • Monitor project progress and validate accomplishments against approved schedules.
  • Analyze cost trends and recommend corrective actions to prevent cost overruns.
  • Review subcontractor billings, supplier quotations, purchase requests, and change orders.
  • Evaluate the financial impact of project variations and additional works.
  • Maintain accurate records of project commitments, expenditures, and forecast costs.
  • Support project bidding and tendering activities through cost analysis and historical cost data.
  • Prepare project S-Curves, cost-loading summaries, and management reports.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of project budgets during project planning and execution stages.
  • Participate in project coordination meetings and provide cost-related recommendations.
  • Ensure that all project cost control activities are properly documented and auditable.

  • The work environment is primarily office-based, focusing on project controls, budgeting, reporting, and coordination activities.
  • Site visits may be required to validate project progress and support cost monitoring activities.
  • The role requires regular interaction with project teams, contractors, suppliers, and management.
  • Occasional travel to assigned project locations may be required.
  • Forecast Final Project Cost Reports
  • Change Order Cost Evaluations
  • Project Progress and Cost Integration Reports
  • Cost Loading and S-Curve Reports
  • Final Cost Reconciliation Reports

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, or a related Engineering discipline).
  • Professional License (PRC) is an advantage but not required.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in Cost Control, Cost Engineering, Project Controls, Estimating, Quantity Surveying, or Project Management.
  • Experience in EPC projects involving Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil/Structural works is preferred.
  • Experience in project budgeting, cost monitoring, forecasting, cash flow preparation, and cost reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project. Experience using other project management, budgeting, and reporting tools is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with project scheduling, progress monitoring, and productivity analysis.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, subcontractor management, contract administration, and change order evaluation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
