Job Description

Company Description D&L Industries, Inc. is a Philippine-based company that began operations in 1963, initially supplying the plastics industry with colorants and color-matching services. Incorporated in 1971, the company expanded into manufacturing, marketing, and distributing colorants, chemicals, and additives for plastics, paint, and ink industries. In 1985, D&L Industries, Inc. spun off its manufacturing and marketing activities into separate companies to support specialized business growth. Since then, it has continuously expanded and modernized its production capacities and facilities to better serve diverse industrial customers and evolving market needs.

Role Description The Cost & Contract (Electrical Engineer) is a full-time, on-site role based in Quezon City. This position is responsible for preparing and reviewing cost estimates, budgets, and bid proposals for electrical works related to the company's facilities, projects, and equipment. The role involves analyzing technical drawings and specifications, coordinating with project teams and suppliers, and ensuring that electrical designs and power distribution plans comply with safety standards, regulations, and company policies. The engineer will monitor project costs, support contract negotiations, track variations and change orders, and provide regular reports on budget performance and resource utilization. The role also includes collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize energy usage, improve reliability of power systems, and support continuous improvement initiatives in plant operations.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Electrical Design and Electrical Engineering for industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Candidates should possess a solid understanding of Power Distribution and Power Systems, including load analysis and system reliability.
  • Candidates should possess a good grasp of Electricity fundamentals, safety standards, and relevant codes and regulations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field; professional licensure is an advantage.
  • Experience in cost estimation, budgeting, and contract review for engineering or construction projects is preferred.
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings, using relevant engineering software, and preparing technical reports.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in an on-site industrial setting.
