Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing the company's cost accounting functions, ensuring accurate product costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing cost analysis. The role supports financial planning and operational decision-making by providing timely and reliable cost information, monitoring production costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The supervisor also leads the accounting team and collaborates closely with production, procurement, warehouse, and finance departments.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is an advantage.

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • At least 1–2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, inventory accounting, and manufacturing processes is an advantage.

Competencies And Skills

  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting, cost accounting, taxation, and financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and BIR regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar ERP systems).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor raw material, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods inventory.
  • Review and reconcile inventory transactions with the general ledger.
  • Analyze production costs and identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and annual standard cost updates.
  • Ensure accurate month-end and year-end cost accounting closing activities.
  • Coordinate with production, procurement, warehouse, and finance teams to improve cost efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
  • Assist during internal and external audits by preparing required schedules and documentation.
