Role Description The Cost Accounting Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Calabarzon, Philippines. This position oversees cost accounting activities, including monitoring production costs, analyzing variances, and ensuring accurate allocation of expenses to products and departments. The role involves preparing and reviewing cost reports, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and collaborating with operations and finance teams to optimize cost efficiency. The Cost Accounting Supervisor will also assist in the preparation and review of financial statements related to inventory and cost of goods sold, ensuring compliance with internal policies and accounting standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising cost accounting staff, maintaining cost records, participating in internal audits, and providing data-driven insights to support management decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Cost Accounting and Accounting principles, with experience in manufacturing or production environments.
  • Proficiency in Finance and Financial Statements, including cost of goods sold, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.
  • Demonstrated Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and recommend cost improvement initiatives.
  • Relevant bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA) is an advantage.
  • Experience in supervising or leading an accounting team and working cross-functionally with operations and management.
  • Competence in ERP or accounting systems and advanced Excel skills for cost modeling and reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to ethical practices, compliance with internal controls, and continuous process improvement.
