Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Cost Accounting Supervisor based in Calabarzon, Philippines. The Cost Accounting Supervisor will oversee product costing, standard cost updates, and variance analysis, ensuring accurate allocation of materials, labor, and overhead. This role will prepare cost reports and support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, including inventory valuation and reconciliation. The supervisor will monitor production costs, analyze trends, and provide insights to operations and management to support pricing, budgeting, and cost improvement initiatives. Responsibilities also include supervising cost accounting staff, reviewing cost-related journal entries, supporting internal and external audits, and helping enhance cost accounting policies, procedures, and systems.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Accounting and Cost Accounting, with experience in manufacturing or production environments.
  • Knowledge of Finance and Financial Statements, including cost of goods manufactured, inventory valuation, and margin analysis.
  • Well-developed Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify cost drivers, and recommend cost optimization measures.
  • Proficiency with ERP or accounting systems and advanced MS Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, basic modeling).
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is an advantage.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring accounting staff and collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., production, procurement, logistics).
  • Strong attention to detail, integrity in handling financial data, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in food manufacturing or packaging, and familiarity with quality and safety standards, is a plus.
