Cost Accounting Specialist

A leading organization in the food and consumer goods sector is seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accounting Specialist to support business performance analysis and financial planning activities. This position plays a key role in evaluating financial results, managing cost-related insights, and providing data-driven recommendations that contribute to sound business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities affecting business results.
• Develop and maintain profitability reports across various business segments, products, and operational functions.
• Serve as the primary finance liaison for designated business units, providing guidance on budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather assumptions, forecasts, and financial inputs needed for planning activities.
• Monitor production and operational cost drivers, ensuring accurate reporting and analysis of cost movements.
• Collaborate closely with different departments to evaluate financial impact and support business initiatives.
• Conduct variance analysis between planned and actual results, highlighting key drivers and recommended actions.
• Generate periodic management reports and performance summaries for decision-making purposes.
• Support annual planning, forecasting, and budgeting exercises.
• Recommend process improvements and financial controls that enhance efficiency and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, Management Accounting, or a related field.
• Exposure to financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, or similar finance functions is an advantage.
• Candidates with experience in auditing, accounting services, shared services, or corporate finance environments are encouraged to apply.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficient in working with financial data and reporting tools.
