Role Description The Cost Accounting Assistant Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Calabarzon, Philippines. This role supports the finance and operations teams by preparing and analyzing cost reports, monitoring production costs and variances, and assisting in setting and reviewing standard costs for products. The individual will oversee cost allocation for materials, labor, and overhead, ensure accurate inventory valuation, and participate in monthly and annual closing activities. Responsibilities include reviewing and improving cost accounting processes, collaborating with production and purchasing to investigate cost discrepancies, and providing data-driven insights to support pricing decisions and budgeting. The role also involves preparing management reports, assisting with internal and external audits, and helping maintain compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong cost accounting and financial analysis skills, including experience with standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
  • Proficiency in ERP or accounting systems and advanced skills in spreadsheet and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, data visualization software).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production operations, and cost drivers in an industrial or food packaging environment.
  • Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and internal control practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA) is an advantage.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or senior cost accounting role in manufacturing is highly preferred.
