Analyzes cost accounting practices, processes, and data, makes recommendations for improvement.
Provides input for and audits the accuracy of cost master data.
Performs monthly and annual planning and forecasting tasks.
Maintains and improves cost planning and forecasting systems, models, and schedules.
Analyzes manufacturing variances, determines business drivers, creates and maintains P&L commentary for actual and forecasted variances.
Creates and improves cost analysis reporting for decision making stakeholders
Coordinates cost accounting matters with other departments, locations, and divisions.
Communicates results by presenting to groups or in 1 on 1 conversation with internal consumers of cost and cost variance information.
Works independently and in cooperation with others to identify and drive implementation of process improvements for areas of responsibility.
Utilizes technical systems to effectively and efficiently perform tasks
Maintains detailed documentation and procedures for areas of responsibility
Interacts with external auditors and vendors.
Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable GAAP accounting principles and policies.
Conducts special financial and business-related studies as requested
Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of cost accounting, inventory accounting, or manufacturing accounting experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility
Cost Accounting experience at a Beverage, Food, or Consumer Goods manufacturer
Experience effectively presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers and customers.
