Analyzes cost accounting practices, processes, and data, makes recommendations for improvement.
Provides input for and audits the accuracy of cost master data.
Maintains and improves cost models and schedules.
Analyzes manufacturing variances, determines business drivers, creates P&L commentary for actual variances.
Coordinates cost accounting matters with other departments, locations, and divisions.
Works independently and in cooperation with others to identify and drive implementation of process improvements for areas of responsibility.
Utilizes technical systems to effectively and efficiently perform tasks.
Maintains detailed documentation and procedures for areas of responsibility.
Interacts with external auditors and vendors.
Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable GAAP accounting principles and policies.
Conducts special financial and business-related studies as requested.
Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.
Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of accounting, finance, audit, economics, statistics or mathematics experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor's degree plus 2 year of Gallo accounting, finance, audit, economics, statistics or mathematics experience; OR Bachelor's degree plus 2 year of public audit or accounting experience.
Public Accounting experience.
Experience with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word at an intermediate level.
Experience with SAP or comparable business system.
Experience with SAP EPM.
Experience reading, analyzing and interpreting general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
Experience writing reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
Experience effectively presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers and customers.
Experience interpreting an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and dealing with several abstract and concrete variables.
Experience working with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions, and applying them to practical situations.
CMA, or comparable professional certification
Must be willing to work night shift schedules (US hours) and during PH Holidays.
Must be able to work in Alabang, Muntinlupa when work in the office resumes (temp WFH).
