The
Cost Accountant is responsible for planning, analyzing, and reporting cost-related data to support operational and financial decision-making. This includes tracking and evaluating the cost of operations such as fuel consumption, vehicle maintenance, parts inventory, driver payroll, and route efficiency. The role ensures accurate cost allocation, supports budgeting processes, and contributes to overall cost control and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Tracking & Analysis: Collect, analyze, and report all related costs. Including fuel, labor, maintenance, equipment and admin expenses.
- Identify Inefficiencies: Identify areas where operations can be improved and costs can be reduced.
- Decision-Making: Provide accurate and timely information to support decisions, like investments (acquisitions of assets) or changes to/ additional service offerings.
- Cost Center Management: Manage cost centers to allocate and monitor expenses effectively.
- Route Optimization: Help optimize routes and transportation methods, leading to greater efficiency using cost data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in transport, logistics, or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Willing to be assigned in Cubao, Quezon City.
