You own the development, maintenance, and optimization of high-performance backend systems and customer-facing platforms for a long-standing automotive solutions provider. Your work directly impacts the stability and security of scraper systems, existing dashboards, and innovative new product builds.

This is not a generalist support role; you operate within a structured LAMP stack environment where you are responsible for writing clean, stable code and managing complex API integrations. Best suited for developers who value technical ownership, thrive in sprint-based delivery cycles, and prefer clear performance metrics over shifting priorities.

You're Likely a Strong Fit If You Have

• BA/BS Degree in Accounting
• CPA and/or MS in Taxation or in progress preferred
• 2+ years of corporate income tax and/or sales and use tax experience
• Knowledge of basic indirect tax rules and compliance processes
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Strong Signals

• Experience in software, technology, manufacturing, retail, or distribution industries
• Familiarity with Avalara
• Multi-state tax experience

Tax Compliance & Reporting

You own the lifecycle of tax documentation, ensuring every filing meets strict regulatory and timing standards.

• Execute federal and state tax compliance filings and reporting cycles.
• Manage sales and use tax processes and reconciliation.
• Prepare quarterly tax provisions with high attention to detail.

Technical Research & Advisory

You act as a subject matter expert, translating complex tax rules into actionable business data.

• Conduct in-depth tax research and analysis to support business decisions.
• Resolve sales tax inquiries for customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Optimize tax strategies through collaboration with cross-functional business groups.
