JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a Corporate Planning & Business Development Manager to support strategic growth, investment evaluation, and business development initiatives.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role for an experienced professional who can independently lead strategic projects from research and analysis through to financial modeling, business cases, recommendations, and executive presentations.
The ideal candidate can work with minimal supervision, take ownership of ambiguous and complex business problems, and confidently translate data and insights into actionable recommendations. While the role initially has no direct reports, there is potential to build and lead a team as the function grows.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct market, industry, competitive, economic, and regulatory analysis to identify growth opportunities, emerging risks, and potential market disruptions.
- Evaluate new business ventures, strategic investments, M&A, joint ventures, and partnerships.
- Build and analyze financial and valuation models, including DCF, LBO, comparable company analysis, and sensitivity analysis.
- Conduct financial and commercial due diligence and assess ROI, risks, and potential synergies.
- Develop business cases, feasibility studies, investment proposals, and executive presentations for senior leadership and key decision-makers.
- Lead strategic projects independently, from problem definition and research to analysis, recommendations, and final deliverables.
- Support corporate planning and work with business units and portfolio companies to align strategies with broader corporate objectives.
- Use AI and digital tools to improve market research, data analysis, scenario planning, and strategic decision-making.
MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related analytical field.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in Corporate Planning, Corporate Strategy, Business Development, Corporate Development, Management Consulting, Investment Banking, Venture Capital, Private Equity, or a similar role.
- Strong hands-on experience in financial analysis and advanced financial modeling.
- Experience evaluating investments, new business opportunities, M&A, joint ventures, or strategic partnerships.
- Experience preparing business cases, feasibility studies, investment proposals, or investment memoranda.
- Strong skills in market research, competitive analysis, and strategic planning.
- Proven ability to independently lead projects and deliver high-quality outputs with minimal supervision.
- Strong executive communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly analytical, commercially minded, and comfortable working across both strategic concepts and detailed financial analysis.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling.
- Willing to work fully onsite in Alabang, Muntinlupa.
PREFERRED
- MBA, CFA, or relevant certification in Finance, Corporate Strategy, or Strategic Planning.
- Experience in a conglomerate, holding company, or multi-business environment.
- Experience using AI, generative AI, predictive analytics, or other digital tools for research and strategic analysis.
