The Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) is a non-stock, not-for-profit organization committed to raising corporate governance standards in the Philippines. Established in 1999 by Dr. Jesus P. Estanislao, the organization aims to professionalize corporate directorship in response to the lessons of the Asian financial crisis. As part of the Centers for Excellence in Governance (CEG), ICD is an accredited training institute by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Insurance Commission (IC), Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), and Governance Commission for GOCCs (GCG). The institute plays a vital role in fostering good governance practices and strengthening the corporate ecosystem in the country.
Role Description
The Corporate Governance Manager assists in the onboarding of new department members and supervises the orientation and training of CG Assessors to ensure alignment with organizational standards and objectives. Helps foster and maintain strong working relationships among team members, including CG Analysts and CG Assessors, while leading the assessment of Publicly Listed Companies and Insurance Companies, as well as completing the regional assessment process. Attends ASEAN Capital Markets Forum meetings when instructed by the Director of CG Advocacy and prepares necessary reports, presentations, and databases for the team. Also assists in monitoring sector databases and spearheads the development and maintenance of relationship coordination with various regulatory boards and stakeholders, such as the SEC, BSP, IC, GCG, family-owned corporations, and other clients. Additionally, handles other projects and tasks related to Corporate Governance Advocacy as assigned by the Director of CG Advocacy from time to time.
